ATTENDANCE INCENTIVES

With football strength and conditioning in full swing it is important to remember the incentives for not missing workouts.  Also it is important to remember that we do not just work on weights but also work on footwork as well as communicate important information.

Organized Team Activities Incentive

  • Any Player who misses 10 Organized Team Activities (OTA) or less from February to the beginning of football camp in August will receive incentives based on their commitment to our program.  Incentives are as followed:

    • Discount on team practice pack (tee & short/girdle)
    • Team rubber band bracelet
    • First pick of equipment (organized by class & excluding numbers)
    • Reward celebration
    • Eligible for being elected team captain
    • Primary boarding on away trips (organized by class)
    • First in line for team meals (organized by class)

  • Participation in other sports is encouraged and all players that participate with another sport in season will be exempt from the 10 day attendance regulation.  Players are still encouraged to come to OTA's when possible to maintain proper lifting technique. Out of season participation in another sports conditioning program does not excuse a player from the 10 day attendance regulation.

  • 1000LBS Club
    • Before the start of August camp players will perform maximum efforts for our 3 core lifts bench, squat, and power clean.  The players will have their weights on the core lifts added together and the players that reach a total of 1000 LBS will receive discounted apparel.

  • To ensure the safety of all  participants in addition to all required documents the players will need to pass a practice readiness conditioning test.  The requirements of the test will be based on our team strength and conditioning program.  It is a responsibility of the school and athletic department to make sure all participants are prepared for the physical challenges of football.  The test requirements will be announced at a later date.
